Plywood (5mm, 8mm, 15mm), denim cover from irreparable jeans and stained towels

BRIEF

a flatpack chair made from birch plywood in a standard wood shop.

Made in Spring 2025 in Copenhagen studying Danish chair design under Danish cabinetmakers.

assembles by hand. no tools, no force, 6 pins.

Thinner plywood on the backrest and seat allows for a gentle flex with movement, without traditional upholstery but remaining strong under pressure.

Removable and Washable denim cover adds padding and warmth.

Made from the unwearable jeans and discarded bath towels of other students

The Limber Lounge is meant to move with you both move with your body, and be taken apart for you to move it and reassemble it.

Ironically, it was built in Denmark and did not move back to New York. It was left to live the rest of its life in Ørstedsparken in Copenhagen where it was photographed.
